Terms & Conditions

These terms govern the use of PII Shield, a Zendesk application developed and operated by ASA Labs.

Use of the service

PII Shield is intended to help organizations identify and manage sensitive information within Zendesk support workflows. You are responsible for determining whether the app is appropriate for your organization's requirements and compliance obligations.

Customer responsibility

You are responsible for configuring the application, reviewing detection rules, validating results, and determining what actions should occur when sensitive information is identified.

Detection accuracy

PII Shield uses pattern matching and configurable detection logic. No automated system can guarantee the identification of all sensitive information or eliminate all risk. Customers should maintain appropriate review processes and controls.

Availability

ASA Labs may update, improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Reasonable efforts will be made to avoid unnecessary disruption.

Data ownership

All customer, ticket, and support data remains the property of the customer. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of customer data to ASA Labs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ASA Labs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including losses resulting from missed detections, incorrect detections, compliance issues, operational disruptions, or data handling decisions.

No legal or compliance advice

PII Shield is a software tool and does not provide legal, regulatory, security, privacy, or compliance advice. Customers are responsible for evaluating their own obligations and requirements.

Changes to these terms

ASA Labs may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the application after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
